The embossed and smooth versions of the lace differ only in appearance. The smooth version is more pressed, which makes it better covered with wax, so it has greater durability. Paper cord is very strong and natural, like the wood around which it is woven. The cord has a light wax coating, which makes it resistant to discoloration and grease. No recycled materials are used in the paper cord, as the color shades of recycled paper vary significantly. The entire cord is fully biodegradable.
